Google’s John Mueller: embedding YouTube videos has no influence on your rankings

In an online discussion, Google’s John Mueller said that embedding a YouTube on a web pages does not give the page a ranking boots:

“A YouTube video alone doesn’t make a page high-quality :), but you can certainly use videos as a way of providing more information to users.”

Of course, adding a high quality video to your website might keep website users longer on your pages and the perceived quality of the page might be better.
