Google: do not block JavaScript and CSS files

Google has published an update to the technical webmaster guidelines. They recommend not to block JavaScript and CSS files because that can have a negative influence on the rankings of your web pages:

“Disallowing crawling of Javascript or CSS files in your site’s robots.txt directly harms how well our algorithms render and index your content and can result in suboptimal rankings.”
